BIOGRAPHY

Deveshi Goswami (b. 1993) is a contemporary artist currently based in New Delhi, India.

Her practice is a meditation on the ephemerality of the ‘Now,’ capturing the transient, layered experiences of life through material, texture, and form. Working with unprimed canvas, acrylic, and emulsion paint, she explores the tension between creation and erosion, presence and absence. Cracks, fragments, and imprints in her work evoke memory’s fragile permanence, articulating the cyclical rhythms of life—where moments dissolve yet leave behind tangible traces.

Nature is not a subject in her work but a collaborator. Birds, insects, and organic forms emerge as quiet testaments to resilience, while her studio—often surrounded by shifting landscapes—becomes an extension of her practice. Engaging with themes of eco-spirituality, she reflects on the interconnectedness of life, the sacredness of nature, and the reverence for its omnipresent rhythms.

Goswami received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore. Her work has been exhibited in New Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. She continues to explore the delicate balance between the fleeting and the eternal, creating works that invite contemplation and pause.
